For collectors
A great cellar should feel unmistakably yours.
We help collectors understand what they own, build with purpose, open bottles at their best and care for the cellar as it changes over time.
A practical starting point
Start with what is already there.
Some collectors begin with a full cellar and no reliable inventory. Others are choosing a first case, moving wine, seeking a difficult bottle or planning a family transition. The right answer usually starts with a close look at what you already own and what you want from it.
What we do for collectors
For every stage of a cellar.
-
Understand your cellar.
A close examination of the collection, bottle by bottle: what you own, where it came from, how it has been kept, when it may be ready and what it is worth today.
You receive A clear cellar report and an inventory that stays current.
-
Build with intent.
A collecting plan shaped around how you drink, entertain and give, including the producers, regions, vintages and formats worth pursuing.
You receive A practical collecting strategy and sourcing plan.
-
Source with confidence.
Allocations, private releases, library wines and rarities sourced through estates, merchants and auction houses. We review provenance and condition before recommending a purchase.
You receive Wine sourced on your behalf, with clear reasoning behind each recommendation.
-
Store and protect.
Cellar design, professional storage, organization, insurance documentation and logistics, from a home cellar to a move across the country or abroad.
You receive A cellar that is secure, organized and properly documented.
-
Open it at its best.
A drinking plan for the cellar, bottles chosen for important occasions and private tastings built around the wine you already own.
You receive The right bottle at the right time.
-
Go to the source.
Private visits to estates in Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, Napa and beyond, arranged through long-standing relationships and accompanied by Parcel Seven.
You receive Meaningful access, planned around the wine and the people who make it.
-
Plan a transition.
When a cellar changes hands through sale, gift, family transfer or division, we establish the best route, timing and next steps, then manage the process.
You receive A clear plan, carried through carefully.
As much help as you need
One question, one project or ongoing care.
A single question
A second opinion, a valuation, a purchase, a provenance question or a sale.
A defined project
A full cellar study, a collecting plan, a storage move, a new cellar or a transition.
Ongoing stewardship
Sourcing, records, drinking plans, storage oversight and counsel when decisions arise.
The finest cellars aren’t the largest. They’re the best understood.
What collectors ask before they write
Does my cellar need to be a certain size?
No. We work with first-time collectors and with established cellars. What matters is that the decisions are important to you.
Do you sell wine?
No. Parcel Seven is an advisor, not a merchant. We source from estates, merchants and auction houses on the client’s behalf. We do not hold stock or accept referral fees or commissions.
Where do you work?
Most clients are in North America, and many keep wine in more than one place. We work in person and remotely, wherever the cellar is held.
Will you work with my merchant, storage company or sommelier?
Yes. We fit around the people you already trust and make responsibilities clear.
Can you help with one bottle or one decision?
Yes. It may be a difficult purchase, an auction lot, a provenance question or a bottle for a particular evening.
Is the work confidential?
Yes. Client names, holdings, plans and conversations remain private.
Tell us about your cellar.
A few lines is plenty: roughly what you have, where it is kept and what you would like from it.
